The Sun Lychee brand was established over 30 years ago by a group of dedicated lychee growers with orchards ranging from the Far North of Queensland down to the Sunshine Coast in South East Queensland. This growing area covers the Tropical and Sub-tropical growing areas of Queensland with a geographical distance of over 1,700kms.

Many things have changed in the lychee industry over the last 30 years which the Sun Lychee group have embraced while still maintaining the 3 main characteristics & attributes which sets the group apart from others: Quality Assurance; Continuity of Supply; and Single-Desk Marketing. The Sun Lychee growers believe this is why the Sun Lychee brand is highly regarded as one of the best suppliers of fresh quality lychees around the world.

The United Lychee Marketing Association (ULMA) was formed in 1990 with three regions- Northern, Central and Southern as a group of growers to establish a brand- Sun Lychee that was recognized as the industry leader in export and domestic sales of fresh lychees. ULMA has in recent years combined the 3 regions to one and remains one of the longest operating marketers of fresh fruit.
